* WHAT...Dense fog and mixed precipitation will eventually give
way to Blizzard conditions, especially this afternoon and early
evening. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches locally 8
inches. North winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 45 to 50 mph
are expected this afternoon leading to blowing and drifting snow
and reduced visibilities.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and south central Nebraska
and north central Kansas.
* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 9 AM CST this
morning. For the Blizzard Warning, from 9 AM this morning to
midnight CST tonight.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of
blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty
winds could bring down tree branches.
A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
