    100 firefighters respond to 3-alarm fire at Pico Rivera apartment complex

    A three-alarm fire tore through a building in a Pico Rivera apartment complex this afternoon, sending one person to a hospital as flames burned through the structure's roof.

    Nearly 100 firefighters responded to the blaze, which was reported about 3:35 p.m. at a three-story apartment building in the 9100 block of Burke Street, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Gustavo Medina.
