Right place, right time.
A local family is searching for a Good Samaritan who stepped in to save a man's life after he had collapsed on a tennis court in Huntersville last month.
Kayla Ireland says her dad, Jeff, suffered a massive heart attack on Aug. 20 at Holbrook Park. She says a man, who had been playing tennis with his son, immediately started to perform CPR. Two other men also came to Jeff's aid.
Jeff had to undergo open heart surgery and was actually in a coma for three weeks. The good news is he is expected to make a full recovery.
Now Jeff and his family are trying to locate with the mystery hero to say thank you. The problem: their only detail about the man is that he is a veterinarian in the area.
Anyone with information on the Good Samaritan is urged to come forward. Not sure how you can help? Start by sharing the Facebook post to spread the word.
