Severe Weather Alerts - Asbestos, Quebec

    • Special Weather Statement

Special Weather Statement in effect until 4:52 AM EDT. Source: Environment Canada

Mainly sunny, warm and humid conditions will affect Southwestern Quebec on Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures on Saturday will reach up to 28 to 30 degrees Celcius in the afternoon with humidex values near 37. Sunday could be a little warmer with highs of 30 to 32 degrees and humidex values near 40. Temperatures will fall to just below 20 degrees on Saturday night.

Temperatures will therefore be well above seasonal values of 15 to 18 degrees during the day and 5 to 9 degrees during the night. We are even expecting that many temperature records will be broken in several localities of Southwestern Quebec this weekend.

Reorganize or plan your daytime outdoor activities during the coolest hours of the day.

Diminish the health risks for your young children and other vulnerable people by making sure to make cool them down often, keep them well hydrated and reduce their exposure to heat.
