Surface Observation Samples

US and World Metar Surface Observations:

Surface observations for the entire world are taken every hour including "special" intermediate observations. Choose from the latest observation or archived observations. Available in three formats:

Raw: Surface observations in an unaltered, raw form shown exactly as transmitted from the observation site.

Example:

Decoded: Surface observations in an convenient decoded format.

Example:

Graphical:
Using the AccuWeather Advanced Map Plotting SystemTM (AMPSTM), you can choose to plot and/or contour surface observations on a map base covering any desired area. An example of a "standard station model plot" of hourly surface data for Pennsylvania and the surrounding area with contoured pressure is below.

US and World Synoptic Surface Observations:
Synoptic surface observations from North America and the entire world are taken every 3 or 6 hours. Choose from the latest observation or archived observations. Available in two formats:

Raw: Synoptic surface observations in an unaltered, raw form shown exactly as transmitted from the observation site.

Example:

Decoded: Synoptic surface observations in an convenient decoded format.
