Storms along the front could produce hail, damaging winds, and drenching downpours. One or two of the strongest storms could produce a tornado.
The storms have had a beneficial side, however. Portions of the region received over an inch of rain from early Sunday through the midday hours

While the front will make eastward progress through the coastal Carolinas later tonight, the system will stall over Florida and the immediate Gulf
coast. As a result, the chance of pop-up, drenching thunderstorms will continue through the balance of the week.
