The broad cell of high pressure that has afforded so much dry weather, albeit
with cold nights, in the South will slip away to the east on beginning on
Sunday. Thus, it will hang on long enough to instigate bright, dry weather for
a least one more day ahead of an early-week tropical onslaught from the Gulf.
Away from the central and western Gulf coast, where clouds will hold sway, skies on Sunday will very from partly sunny to sunny right across the South. The sunshine will be enough to bracket most high temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees with Florida being warmer, still.
