The Friday morning shopping blitz next week could get off to a cold, snowy
start from the eastern Great Lakes to the northern Appalachians as much colder
air wraps in on the back side of a developing nor'easter. This same storm might
also bring steady rain to the major cities of the Northeast.
Folks in the Southeast will need a heavier jacket and gloves when they head out
early in the morning on Friday as cold, dry air will be spreading down from the
north.
The best weather will be across the Plains and interior West as sunshine greets
the shoppers.
Another storm will impact the Pacific Northwest on Friday, leading to a soggy
start to the day in the Seattle and Portland areas.
