Updated Snowfall Map
Updated: Tuesday, February 09, 2010 3:02 PM

A strong storm will continue to spread moderate to heavy snow from the Midwest toward the Northeast tonight into Wednesday. The heaviest snow will target southeastern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois through northwestern Ohio through Tuesday night. Up to a foot of snow will pile up in parts of this area.

Tuesday night through Wednesday, snow will bury the central Appalachians to southern New England. Snowfall accumulations of up to a foot can be expected in this area. Over a foot of snow will bring travel to a standstill along the I-95 corridor from Baltimore to New York City, where blizzard conditions will develop.

Just a slight northward shift in the storm track would also expand the heaviest snowfall into southern New England.
