The colder air set to sweep across the Great Lakes by midweek will be accompanied by snow showers and harsh winds over much of the Midwest on Wednesday and Thursday. This cold shot will wipe away the recent mild conditions in the Northeast, sending temperatures plummeting in the Northeast on Thanksgiving night. If the invasion of cold air coincides with a storm moving along the East Coast, snow could develop in the interior Northeast on Thursday night into Friday morning.
