Soaking rain will shift eastward along the Gulf Coast and into the Southeast
during the next 24 to 36 hours. Moderate to heavy rainfall along this corridor,
while less intense than that which lately pelted Texas, will be enough for
minor localized flooding.
At the heart of this corridor of rain, rainfall will be 1-2 inches over
northwestern Florida and southeastern Alabama through central and southern
Georgia and South Carolina. Lesser amounts up to an inch will fall northward to
the southern Blue Ridge in the western Carolinas and northern Georgia.
