The FAA flight planning computer glitch is causing flight delays and cancellations nationwide. The glitch developed at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and since then Flight Planning has been shifted to Salt Lake City.

Unfortunately, the weather across the country is also exacerbating the problems in Chicago, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

Dullas and Reagan airports in Washington, D.C., will be particularly hit hard due to thunderstorms developing across Virginia this morning. Delays over an hour will occur due to the FAA computer problems and the weather. Rerouting around the storms will cause inbound and outbound delays.

Newark, La Guardia, JFK and Philadelphia will continue to have low ceilings and rain that will create delays up to an hour.

Chicago O'Hare has low ceilings and drizzle that will again cause delays for both inbound and outbound flights.

Seattle and Portland will also have delays due to high winds and heavy rain. Major delays are expected to spread west during the morning.

For specific delays, check the flight delays map on AccuWeather.com
