Sorry I didn't blog today, folks; this morning I was out helping AccuWeather.com Professional's Joe Bastardi (PRO USERS READ NOW | 30-DAY FREE TRIAL) install a weather station at his house, and this evening I was watching the incoming storms like a hawk (might have gotten some lightning pics, we'll find out tomorrow). Here is a picture of Joe praying for wind gusts:

All kidding aside, he has great western exposure and should get some incredible winds. In fact during tonight's weakening storms his station still mustered 25 mph while AccuWeather HQ had under 20. You can see his station data here, and read more about the installation on his blog. In fact, a number of AccuWeather meteorologists have their station data on the web, and you can see all of them here.
The station that I recommended for Joe is the Davis Vantage Pro II, with the WeatherLinkIP device for simple and easy, computerless-transmission to the Internet (I'll be reviewing this device Sunday in a Gadget blog entry).
