I noticed two weather tidbits yesterday about a town called Milton - one in Wisconsin and one in Florida. Turns out that it's a pretty common town name - there are 19 Miltons nationwide according to AccuWeather.com.
In Wisconsin, a tiny storm developed near the town (a.k.a. Clear Lake) and dropped a Tornado during its brief existence (less than an hour from formation to dissipation). Here's a radar shot from 8:30 PM:

The NWS initially called it "A VERY STRANGE SITUATION" and has photos of damage and a radar loop. They say:
"A single thunderstorm cell developed in Rock county Tuesday evening producing an EF0 landspout tornado. This storm was very small in size and the only one in southern Wisconsin Tuesday evening. The first funnel cloud reports came in just 15 minutes after the cell developed. It weakened and the cell dissipated about half an hour later. A landspout tornado is one that is not associated with a broad area of rotation known as a mesocyclone. A METAR report was received from the Janesville airport at 8pm. It's pretty rare for airport observers to see and report a tornado in their official observations."
And secondly, in a report issued by Thomas Giella via email, he noted that Milton, Florida reached 105 degrees during their heatwave on Tuesday.
