Here's the link to fellow UNC-Asheville alumnus Jesse Ferrell (Premium)(Pro), see his blog after you finish with mine for a look at that wild video of the rock slide in Tennessee.
Once again, Happy Veterans Day, y'all! And again, let me give a great big thanks to all the veterans out there for all your hard work and sacrifice. Back in the early days of the blog, I wrote a longer and heartfelt piece on the matter, you can go back and read it yourself in the archives (Premium) (Pro) if you like.

Hey there
It has been interesting to watch Ida, a very late hurricane in action. Seeing the damage it is doing now over the mid atlantic, and wondering where and what it will do next.
I would like to know what damage it caused when it actually made landfall. Was the damage worse or less than whats it's doing now?????
Sincerely
Sandra

Frank,
Why would the NWS drop the wave height forecast so much in the past 12 hours however the wind forecast seems to be the same. With the persistant northeast flow wouldn't the seas continue to build each day. The 8pm forecast last night was for 11-16' seas for 3 days now they have backed off to more like 10-12' with no real change in wind prediction

Frank,
When will accuweather come out with their final winter 09-10 forecast? I hope you do your part in the forecast, because I love your work. I check in everyday for your updates and videos. I also have one more question for you, when do you think the southeast will transition into winter weather?
