A cold front sweeping through Texas today will usher cooler air across the
southern Plains. Today's chilly breeze over the region will put an end to the
mild conditions of late. Temperatures will hover in the low 60s over much of
Texas, and remain in the 50s in Oklahoma and Kansas.

A few showers, some with locally heavy downpours, will dampen southern and
eastern Texas this afternoon as the front presses past. Rumbles of thunder may
be heard during some of the showers along the Gulf Coast.
