Interactive Weather Publisher Reaches All-Time Highs for Web, Mobile, Apps, and Ad-Supported Page Views

STATE COLLEGE, PA - July 19, 2012 - AccuWeather reported today that their online and mobile properties generated more than 47 million ad-supported page views on Wednesday. This all-time daily record was achieved as their global audience turned to the weather provider for information on record heat, severe drought, and destructive storms.

Records broken on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 include:

- www.AccuWeather.com generated more than 16 million page views (Omniture).

- http://m.accuweather.com/ mobile website generated 17.125 million page views (Amobee).

- AccuWeather mobile apps generated more than 14 million page views (Amobee).

"Weather is an important part of our audiences' every day life, but it takes critical significance during severe weather events," said Jim Candor, Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer, Digital Media for AccuWeather. "Yesterday's peak of over 47 million page views is one example of how our audience turns to AccuWeather for the most reliable weather information."

Lead stories yesterday on AccuWeather's interactive properties included the announcement that the summer of 2012 is on its way to becoming the hottest on record in the U.S.

AccuWeather also provided in-depth information on a heat wave and drought that are straining the nation's corn yields and timely coverage for severe storms in the northeast.

With continuing tumultuous weather in the U.S. and across the globe, and its growing leadership as a cross-platform interactive publisher, AccuWeather is on pace to set a monthly record for over one billion ad-supported page views.
