CinemaLive HD™ Version 3.2 Available Summer 2012
STATE COLLEGE, PA - March 21, 2012 - AccuWeather, designer of CinemaLive HD™, the world's most advanced weather display system, today announced CinemaLive HD version 3.2. The new software release will bring significant enhancements in radar, user interface, graphics, forecasting tools and overall performance to the system that already combines the best in high-impact HD animations and authoritative weather forecasting.
In use in stations of all sizes in the United States and around the world, CinemaLive HD offers broadcasters the best virtual sets, 3D models and scenes within a true 360-degree, 3D environment that puts the presenter in the weather, along with the complete integration of Bing™ maps - all in a high-performance, live-on-any-layer architecture.
Version 3.2 includes the following enhancements:
- Graphics: CityVision 3D. This creates photographic-quality 3D renderings of landmarks which can combine with highly realistic weather animations to show the upcoming weather in settings that viewers recognize. This is included for all 3.2 users.
- Radar: New presentation features, including a radar sweep. This is included for all 3.2 users.
- User interface: Many enhancements, based on feedback from our extensive customer base. This is included for all 3.2 users.
- Performance enhancements. This is included for all 3.2 users.
- Forecasting tools: 4 km high spatial resolution computer model data in 30-minute time steps. (This is in contrast to the 12 km spatial resolution and one-hour time steps often used.) This is an optional, added charge feature with 3.2.
CinemaLive HD Version 3.2 will be available in Summer 2012.
CinemaLive HD can be used in conjunction with StoryTeller™, the Interactive TouchScreen System presented by AccuWeather. StoryTeller puts all the elements of breaking news, sports, traffic and weather literally at the presenter's fingertips.
CinemaLive HD may be seen in action at AccuWeather's NAB Booth SL6820. The booth will also be demonstrating AccuWeather's companion StoryTeller™.
