AccuWeather Global Weather Center - June 12, 2014 - AccuWeather, a leading global digital media company, was honored during Internet Week New York with the 2014 APPY Award for Mobile Weather Apps. AccuWeather's award is in recognition of the company's newly-designed iPhone app reimagined for iOS 7, AccuWeather - Weather for Life™, which showcases AccuWeather's exclusive MinuteCast™.

"We are committed to providing best-in-class weather forecasts that are easily accessible so we can help people plan and improve their lives. We are proud to collaborate with world-leading mobile partners, such as Apple, and continually develop and design mobile applications with the end user in mind."

Now in its fourth year, the APPY Awards, founded by MediaPost Publications and part of Internet Week New York, honor applications on all platforms and is dedicated to acknowledging creativity and excellence in app design.
