STATE COLLEGE, Pa. June 15, 2009 - Evan Myers, Chief Operating Officer of AccuWeather, Inc., the world's leading multimedia weather information source and chief sponsor of the AccuWeather.com Centre County Make-A-Wish Gala, recently presented a commemorative plaque to a Bellefonte Area Middle School student organization to congratulate them on their superior fundraising efforts.

The students, led by student adviser and sixth-grade teacher Michael Stone, raised over $25,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This is the second consecutive year they have raised more than $20,000 for the Foundation. All money raised by the students will stay in Centre County.
