Wet and Chilly Election Day for Chicago and Milwaukee

    By By Eric Leister, Meteorologist
    November 06, 2012, 10:21:27 AM EST

A fast moving area of low pressure will bring a chilly rain to parts of the Midwest and Great Lakes today and tonight.

Rain will spread into Milwaukee and Chicago this afternoon then continue into tonight. The result will be yet another chilly day across the region with any sunshine being limited to the morning.

People going out to vote today will have to deal with a chilly morning with temperatures from the upper 20s to lower 30s.

Later in the day, voters and commuters will have to deal with rain and chilly temperatures making any extended stay outdoors miserable, so be prepared with an umbrella and heavy coat. High temperatures will climb into only the lower to middle 40s.

Rainfall will continue overnight, ending in the predawn hours as temperatures fall back into the 30s.
