Warmth to Return to Atlanta This Weekend

By Samantha-Rae Tuthill, AccuWeather.com Staff Writer

After record-breaking cold for Atlanta earlier in the week, warmer temperatures will rebound, reaching into the 60s for the weekend.

By Friday the high temperatures neared the 50s, but Saturday will bring temperatures above the 60-degree mark.

Fog will accompany rain late Friday night into Saturday morning. Those who are headed out should use caution driving as fog may create low visibilities around the city.

Saturday will be quite wet with the most rain occurring on Saturday.

Despite the warmth Saturday, rain will dampen the city throughout the day along with some breezy winds. However, by the evening hours the sky will be clear.

Heading into next week, the sunshine will return to Atlanta with mostly sunny skies on Sunday.

At least partly sunny skies are in the forecast through next week with the city's next chance of rain coming next weekend.
