An arctic high barreling into the Pacific Northwest could bring a stretch of cold temperatures to the San Francisco area for the first week of December.

Low temperatures Tuesday night to Thursday night will be in the upper 30s to 40 degrees. Average lows for this time of year are in the mid-40s.

Daytime highs will slide into the low 50s by Wednesday and stay there through Saturday.

It will remain dry, however, through the week.
