Saturday will be the nicer of the two weekend days for outdoor plans and travel around Pittsburgh.

Temperatures will rebound into the lower 80s on Saturday under sunshine, after a cool Friday night.

The risk of showers and thunderstorms is forecast to increase on Sunday. However, rainfall may not hold off until the afternoon.

If you were planning on going to the Pirates ball game Sunday, there is a chance of a downpour and delays.

The weather for the Belmont Stakes and the last leg of the Triple Crown on Saturday will be warm and free of rain. Afternoon temperatures will peak near 80 F, but RealFeel® temperatures will be significantly higher in the stands and around the grounds in the sunshine with light winds.

At Long Pond, Pennsylvania, for the Pocono 400 on Sunday, sunshine will throttle the temperature to near 80 F after a traditional cool start. There may be patchy early morning fog. Thunderstorms building to the west in the afternoon should hold off until after the race.
