An oil rig explosion and fire off the coast of Louisiana killed two workers Friday, according to KHOU-TV. Two more workers are missing and four people have been flown to a hospital for treatment, a spokesman from Black Elk Energy told the station.

The weather in the Gulf of Mexico is calm, which didn't hinder rescue efforts. The day is sunny and around 60 degrees. Ocean temperatures are in the high 70s. For people living on the coast, the calm weather is also good news. Wind is blowing 10 mph to the southwest so the smoke drift is blowing away from Louisiana and out to sea.
