According to AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Andy Mussoline, "The potential for a major snowfall may lead to the snowiest April for Denver in years."
"The potential exists for a major snow event depending on exactly where a surface storm moves out of the Rockies," stated Expert Senior Meteorologist Ken Clark. "Right now the potential for a major snow event is rather high though it may be too early to pin down exact accumulations," he said.
AccuWeather.com Meteorologists are preliminarily several inches of snow on Monday night in the Denver metro area with another round of heavier snow likely Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Mussoline also states that "Last week's storm has already provided the snowiest April for Denver since 2009. However, with more snow on the way next week, Denver may wind up with the snowiest April since 2005, when 11.4 inches of snow was put into the record books."
Additional heavy snows are likely farther north in Cheyenne and Casper, Wyo. with the storm tracking to their south.
AccuWeather.com Meteorologists will have additional information on this upcoming storm system early in the upcoming week.
