More Disruptive Snow Headed Back to Boston

By By Kristina Pydynowski, senior meteorologist

Frigid air and another round of snow are on the way for Boston.

Fresh arctic air pouring into the Northeast, in the wake of the weekend snowstorm, will dropped temperatures in Boston into the upper teens.

Now, the arctic air will prevent temperatures from rising out of the middle 20s on Monday.

AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures will be below zero to start the day, then only rise into single digits in the afternoon due to brisk winds.

The cold will set the stage for snow to quickly return to the city on Tuesday. Once again, residents and travelers face disruptions with 3 to 6 inches expected. See the latest map of expected snowfall totals.

Motorists should still prepare for roads to become slick, while airline passengers may encounter delays. At this time, odds favor more disruptions during the afternoon commute rather than the morning.
