Even though spring officially begins Thursday, winter weather will linger in Minneapolis afterwards.

A slight warmup will occur in Minneapolis for the first day of spring. Temperatures will spike into the 40s accompanied by partly sunny skies, providing some minor relief from the cold.

The warmth will stick around on Friday with a chance of a light rain and snow mix and temperatures around 40.
