After a blustery start to the week, milder and more tranquil conditions will settle around Philadelphia for the second half of the week.

Much less wind is in store for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The temperature trend will bottom out Wednesday with highs projected to be in the middle 40s.

Highs are forecast to be in the 50s Thursday and Friday.

However, the mild weather will not last for long.

A potent storm system will affect the area this coming weekend with the chance of rain Saturday, then the potential for high winds on Sunday, bringing in the coldest blast of air of the season so far.
