Mild Indiana Rainy at Times Through Sunday

Indiana's customary December chill will be lacking through at least Sunday, allowing a series of unsettling weather systems to deliver plain rain.

The increase and lowering of clouds that began Thursday will lead to outbreaks of rain overnight and Friday. Steadiest rain will target central and southern Indiana.

Friday, a sweep of mild air over the Ohio Valley will lift temperatures above 60 degrees in southern Indiana with readings ranging through the 50s in most other areas. Indianapolis will top at about 54 degrees, well above the normal high of 41 degrees.

Saturday will bring a break in the rain, but more rain, even thunderstorms, will aim for the Hoosier State ahead of a cold front on Sunday. Indiana residents can then look forward to a much colder start to the coming week.
