Los Angeles to Dry Out for Early Next Week

By By Kristina Pydynowski, senior meteorologist

Los Angeles will turn drier for early next week, replacing the recent cool and wet stretch of weather.

A stubborn storm system held temperatures below normal and deliver another shower to Los Angeles on Saturday. More snow fell in the surrounding mountains.

As the storm shifts eastward on Sunday, high pressure will build overhead and commence a dry spell that will last through the busy travel day on Wednesday.

More seasonable temperatures will also return early next week. Temperatures will rise to near 70 F on Sunday, then the lower 70s on Monday through Wednesday.

Saturday was the ninth consecutive day that temperatures will be held to the 60s in Downtown Los Angeles.
