By By Mark Leberfinger, AccuWeather.com Staff Writer

A beautiful week is in store for the Los Angeles area, but the region will miss out on the best rains that fall across northern California.

Temperatures will be on the increase with daytime highs climbing to the mid- to upper 70s under sunny skies. Nighttime lows will stay in the mid-50s.

The next chance of rain is possible late this month.

It won't be a total loss in terms of precipitation for Los Angeles. The rains and snow that fall across northern California will help recharge the streams that Southern California uses as part of its water supply.
