    Live Blog: Severe Weather for Arkansas, Missouri

    Storms producing heavy rain, hail, freezing rain, strong winds and even isolated tornadoes will continue to impact the Ohio Valley this evening.

    A line of severe weather that produced funnel clouds and heavy rain in Kentucky continues to move in a northeasterly direction into Michigan. Arkansas and Missouri are experiencing severe weather from the back side of the system.


    9:43 p.m. EST: A 74 m.p.h. wind gust was reported one mile ENE of Potter Marsh, Ark.

    9:00 p.m. EST: Freezing rain is coating raised surfaces near Jonesburg, Mo. Not yet effecting sidewalks or roads.

    8:45 p.m. EST: Hwy BB reported to be under water near Vulcan in Des Arc, Mo., according to the 911 call center.

    7:44 p.m. EST Snow is falling in south east Kansas. Reports of .5-1 inch has fallen already.

    7:35 p.m. EST: Radar is showing strong rotation over western Arkansas.

    7:33 p.m. EST: A tornado warning has been issued for western Arkansas until 12 a.m. CST.

    7:09 p.m. EST: Eight inches of standing water on North Waco Ave. in Russellville, Ark., and flooding apartments.

    7:00 p.m. EST: Reports of water flowing over bridges and back roads and entering houses in Russellville, Ark.

    5:29 p.m. EST: Unconfirmed reports of a tornado on the ground near Waverly, Ky. If attending monster truck rally at Ford Center seek shelter.

    5:27 p.m EST: A funnel cloud was reported by police in Waverly, Ky. Take cover if you are in the area.

    4:52 p.m. EST: A brick church in Hampton, Ky., was completely flattened during severe storm.

    4:29 p.m. EST: Same thunderstorm that produced wind damage around Paducah now heading for Evansville, Ind., area.

    3:38 p.m. EST: Storm produced 1.40 inches of rain in Paducah, Ky., in 40 minutes.

    3:23 p.m. EST: Storm southwest of Paducah, Ky., showing signs of rotation with a possible tornado. Take cover if you're in the vicinity.

    2:29 p.m. EST: A tornado threat could begin to develop next few hours from northeast Texas through southeast Missouri.
