A lighting bolt crashed close to the stadium at a Twins-Rangers game in Arlington, Texas on Sunday night.

How loud exactly was the thunder that signaled the beginning of a rain delay in Sunday's series finale between the Rangers and Twins?

This image above is a vertical cross-section of the storm, showing that the top of the storm was leaning towards the stadium. Lightning could have struck straight down from the top of the cloud, or at an angle from the heart of the storm. The storm dissipated on arrival at the stadium five minutes later, which prevented additional strikes from affecting it.
On the web, people joked about how quickly the team ran off the field after seeing the lightning strike.
