After a warm weekend, temperatures will be cooling off again for the first week of October.

Dry conditions will remain as a potent storm in the Northwest stays well north.

Cooler temperatures will be the trend through the early part of the week as highs drop into the mid-70s by Wednesday. Morning clouds will begin to move in as well towards the middle of the week.

Folks planning on hitting the beach or catching a few waves will have a few nice days ahead to work with.

In the evenings, mainly clear skies will allow for cooler nights as temperatures drop into the upper 50s to lower 60s.

Temperatures are expected to soar back into the upper 80s for the end of the week and start of the weekend. Sunshine will continue to dominate as well. The conditions could create a Santa Ana wind event, which could be dangerous for already fire-prone areas.
