Harrisburg: Warmup, Sun to Return Late Week

After nearing a record low Tuesday with temperatures dropping into the 20s, temperatures will increase gradually as the week pushes forward.

“There will be plenty of sunshine Wednesday,” AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Stephen Travis said. “It will be quite cool with temperatures in the low 50s, about 10 degrees below normal.”

Overnight temperatures will drop to below freezing and will remain just shy of the record low for the day, he said.

Those outdoors during the evening should dress to avoid the winterlike chill.

Warm weather will kick in Thursday as temperatures climb into the high 50s.

“It will be mostly sunny Thursday and Friday,” he said, adding it will be noticeably warmer after being hit with two days of a short-lived cold spell.

The next chance for rain will come on Saturday, but by Easter Sunday, drier weather is in store.

“Sunday should be dry,” Travis said. “There will be a break on Sunday between the two systems with another one on Monday.”
