After a few days of 80-degree F temperatures, cool air has invaded Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, from the east.

Cool air arrived in Philadelphia and Allentown, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday and continued to push westward to the central Appalachians on Thursday.

Temperatures will be no better than in the 60s on Thursday with areas of low clouds, drizzle and spotty light rain.

As a result, it may not be the most pleasant for hanging out on the beach and people who mind cool weather will be reaching for jackets and wearing long sleeves for comfort.

Temperatures will recover to close to seasonable levels this coming weekend. Temperatures at the end of May typically range from a low in the middle 50s to a high in the middle 70s.
