Detroit: Sun to Shine on Friday Warped Tour and Into Saturday

By By Alex Sosnowski, senior meteorologist.

As thousands of young people and young at heart flock to Auburn Hills, Michigan, for the 2014 Warped Tour on Friday, sunshine and low humidity are in the offing over southeastern Michigan.

The piece of the polar vortex that broke off from the north early in the week will slowly moderate and move way late this week and into the weekend.

As it does, temperatures will slowly recover to more seasonable levels. The average high for the middle of July is in the middle 80s F.

After more cool mornings into Friday, temperatures will approach 80 Friday afternoon and will reach the lower 80s this weekend. Nighttime lows this weekend will be in the 60s.

As humidity levels rise, the risk of spotty thunderstorms will increase as the weekend progresses.

so far will settle in during the middle and latter part of next week with highs well into the 80s to perhaps near 90, but each day will bring the chance of a thunderstorm.
