After temperatures hit 80 multiple days last week, much cooler air will move in for this week.

A cold front brought rain to the Dallas area on Sunday. Accompanying the rain was a rush of cooler air that dropped temperatures 14 degrees in two hours on Sunday night.

The cooldown will stick around for the week, but dry weather will also move in for at least the first half of the week, if not longer.

Monday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with cool winds blasting through for much of the day. Temperatures are only expected to reach 56. Lows on Monday night will bottom out in the mid-30s, a level that Dallas hasn't reached since March.

Clouds will move out for Tuesday and sunshine will spread over the region. Temperatures will warm slightly into the low 60s, still below average for this time of the year. Lows will reach the low 40s.

Wednesday will feature another nice and dry day with temperatures in the upper 60s. Lows will rise back into the 50s on Wednesday.

The next threat for precipitation will come on Thursday as a thunderstorm may be around the area, but there will still be plenty of dry time.
