Cooler weather, clouds, rain and some thunderstorms will be the themes in the city through Friday this week.

Breezy winds, rain and thunderstorms will persist in the city through Friday morning. However, Thursday night will give residents a brief break from the storms with cloudy but rain-free skies.

Friday will be the coolest day of the week as temperatures reach only into the high 50s.

Despite morning showers Friday, skies should be mostly cloudy for the first game in a three-game series between the Cleveland Indians and the Oakland Athletics at Progressive Field. However, fans should bring a jacket as temperatures will drop into the 40s by the end of the game.

Heading into the weekend, times of sun and clouds are possible both Saturday and Sunday, but both days will also feature the chance for rain showers during the daytime hours. Both nights should be clear for the games at Progressive Field.

Temperatures will remain on the cool side through the weekend and into next week.
