Spectators for the final events of the 2012 Olympic Games in London may need a rain poncho or umbrella as showers are possible.
"Sunday will be sunny with some clouds at times, said AccuWeather Meteorologist Eric Leister. "There will be some patchy showers with the greatest chance during the afternoon hours."
The high temperature will be near 79 degrees F (about 26 C).
Some of the concluding events scheduled for Sunday are the men's volleyball gold medal game, men's marathon and the men's and women's 4x100 relay.
As of Saturday morning the U.S. was leading the medal count with 41 gold medals followed closely by China in second place with 37 gold medals.

A strengthening storm system will spread heavy rainfall across the Yangtze River Valley through Sunday night.
