Cooler, Less Humid for Boston This Weekend

    By By Brian Lada, Meteorologist
    August 27, 2013, 5:45:55 AM EDT

Cooler, less humid conditions will continue through the weekend with abundant sunshine on Sunday.

This change from the hot, humid weather of last week is all thanks to a cold front that pushed off the coast of New England early Friday morning. A flow of air from Canada has followed the front.

High pressure building in behind this front will lock these conditions in place over the region until it shifts to the east early this week.

With dry weather in the forecast, Boston will have a dry weekend for sporting events, concerts and other outdoor activities.

Those attending events at Gillette Stadium this weekend, such as the New England Revolutions game on Sunday, will not have to worry about packing that umbrella, but should perhaps bring sunscreen instead.

A storm system approaching from the Great Lakes early this week will bring an end to the sunny weather as well as the next chance for showers and storms.
