Atlanta: Warmer, Drier Weather to Follow Rain

By By Michael Kuhne, AccuWeather.Com Staff Writer

An approaching cold front will bring thunderstorms to Atlanta into Wednesday as temperatures remain steady through the week.

Temperatures will remain in the upper-70s throughout the week, which is around average for this time of year.

Any storms could put a damper on any other outdoor activities. People should be aware to move indoors when they hear thunder.

“By Wednesday, sunshine will return,” AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Brian Edwards said.

Temperatures are forecast to near 80 degrees F Thursday and Friday.

“Thursday looks like a very nice day,” he said, adding there will be mostly sunny skies in store until Friday.

“There will be a chance for a shower or thunderstorm Friday,” he said. “It will just be passing showers and thunderstorms.”
