    The New AccuWeather.com RSS Center

    September 25, 2007; 12:43 PM ET

BREAKING NEWS: "TROPICAL DEPRESSION TWELVE BECOMES TROPICAL STORM KAREN...FAR OUT IN ATLANTIC, NO IMMEDIATE THREAT TO LAND..." (NHC)

As you've probably seen if you're already a subscriber to my RSS feed, we have a new RSS Center on AccuWeather.com!

    THE AccuWeather.com RSS CENTER

In the old days, my blog was one of only two RSS feeds that we had, but we've now added:

    - Worldwide Current Conditions
    - Worldwide 2-Day Forecasts
    - Regional Weather News Headlines
    - National & World Weather News
    - All Blogs, Including Entertainment, Travel, Astronomy and Global Warming

We have quick buttons to add the feeds to your Yahoo, Google, Netvibes, Technorati, Pageflakes, Bloglines, MSN, and AOL RSS readers (but the feeds will work in other readers such as IE7, Google Desktop, Live.com, etc.)

This is part of our overall new Download Center, which includes...

    - FREE WEATHER FOR YOUR SITE OR BLOG
    - E-MAIL FORECASTS AND ALERTS
    - IE TOOLBAR
    - IE TOOLBAR (ESPANOL)
    - FORECASTFOX
    - VISTA™ GADGETS
    - WEATHER FOR YOUR DESKTOP
    - OPERA WIDGET
    - VIDEO PLAYER FOR YOUR SITE OR BLOG

    What is RSS?

Quite simply, it's the modern way to be alerted when our weather data updates. No longer do you have to come back to the page to find new stories - they come to you dynamically, in your RSS reader. For a more lengthy explanation, click here.

    SPECIAL NOTES:

The blog RSS feeds currently show the description for only the first entry. This will be corrected later this year.

If you are a subscriber to our Subscription services, these feeds can tell you when we've updated headlines but when you click through to the story, you will end up on our advertising-supported site).

The views expressed are those of the author and not necessarily those of AccuWeather, Inc. or AccuWeather.com

Comments left here should adhere to the AccuWeather.com Community Guidelines. Profanity, personal attacks, and spam will not be tolerated.
