Grass Fire Threatens NWS Office
The chance of a wildfire hitting a particular building in the nation are phenomenally small. Even with slightly over 100 National Weather Services offices, these odds are still astronomically small. But that's just what happened last week. The NWS says:
Several National Weather Service employees took pictures of the event, and some of these photos are shown here (permalink to photos). Notice the close approach to the Doppler Radar, satellite dishes, and weather instrumentation.
