The weather pattern still favors severe storm threats down South, and this will continue for another week; however, changes are coming later next week.
A series of storms will cause repeated bouts of severe weather over parts of the South over the next several days.
Fronts will continue to bring occasional cooling to the Southeast, while it gets very warm in Texas and Oklahoma.
A weak storm going by to the north will bring in some reinforcing chilly air near the East Coast this weekend, but otherwise, a warmup is coming over the next week.
Snow is on the way to parts of the South, in fact, two rounds of it!
Bad thunderstorms will hit some areas Thursday night, then colder air will rush in, leading to snow when the next storm moves through this weekend.
