I am @AccuFrank on Twitter, which is the most reliable way to get alerted when I post new stuff. There's also this Facebook fan page thingie, which is not particularly reliable for that but it's good for posting little things where 140 characters won't do them justice.

  • Slow moving storm means TX/OK severe weather and floods

    April 16, 2016; 12:15 AM ET

A blocked-up weather pattern will lead to a storm moving very little over the next several days. It will cause some severe storms and it will tap into tropical moisture, leading to flooding rains as well. Meanwhile, most of the Southeast will continue to see nice weather for a while.

  • Early week severe threat, then another cool spell

    April 10, 2016; 7:30 PM ET

It will warm up some ahead of a front early in the week, leading to severe storms along this front. It gets cool again later in the week, but not as cold as this weekend was.

  • Even colder this weekend! Snow for some!

    April 6, 2016; 12:45 AM ET

If you think it's cold now, wait until this weekend! Another cold blast is headed to the Southeast and some will see snow flakes. We'll get one more cold shot next week but that should be the last one.

    April 5, 2016; 12:30 AM ET

In the Southeast, unseasonable cold will rule at times through this weekend, but the cold will be felt less back west of the Mississippi. Some areas will even see some snow before it warms up, likely for good, next week.

  • Pattern getting back into gear, quieter early week

    March 11, 2016; 11:45 PM ET

The weather system that brought flooding rains the last few days will move out over the weekend with a second storm close behind. After that it will be mostly quiet for a few days.

  • Severe storms and floods next few days

    March 7, 2016; 11:15 PM ET

A lot of moisture is about to be pulled out of the tropics into Texas, Oklahoma and the Mississippi Valley, fueling thunderstorms, some severe, and with flooding rains. This slow moving storm will finally head east late in the week into this weekend.
