Storm Details

March 22, 2013; 11:15 PM

I am @AccuFrank on Twitter, which is the most reliable way to get alerted when I post new stuff. There's also this Facebook fan page thingie, which is not particularly reliable for that but it's good for posting little things where 140 characters won't do them justice.

Too much weather tonight, so no time to talk about meteors, but one was sighted all up and down the East Coast earlier this evening.

    July 12, 2014; 1:00 AM ET

It will get hot and steamy this weekend but we still expect to see cooler air arrive next week. The front leading the cooler air south will bring some areas active weather for several days.

  • Heat Builds, Gets Beaten Back, Stormy Transition

    July 11, 2014; 2:00 AM ET

  • Heat To Return Before Another Unusual Cool Shot

    July 10, 2014; 1:45 AM ET

Heat will be building across the South over the next several days, but we already see signs of another shot of unusual cool air down the road. The heat won't go away quietly. Speaking of quiet, the tropics are currently.

  • Arthur to Rake NC, East Pacific Still Active

    July 2, 2014; 8:15 PM ET

It looks as though Arthur is going to be close enough to North Carolina to do some damage. Hopefully it doesn't get any closer than forecast. The rest of the Atlantic is quiet, the East Pacific isn't.

  • Critter Near Florida, Heat Eases Late Week

    June 30, 2014; 7:15 PM ET

The low east of Florida will keep it active near the East Coast this week while the heat wave continues to the west. A front will move in and ease the heat for many by Independence Day.

  • Heat Is On, SE Coast Tropical Troubles

    June 29, 2014; 7:15 PM ET

It looks like a hot week for most of the South, although we see a cool front moving in later in the week. Also, there's this critter east of Florida to watch.
