I am @AccuFrank on Twitter, which is the most reliable way to get alerted when I post new stuff. There's also this Facebook fan page thingie, which is not particularly reliable for that but it's good for posting little things where 140 characters won't do them justice.
We'll see a little bit of everything in parts of the South over the next few days thanks to a potent storm pushing through. Everyone gets colder or at least cooler for Christmas.
Thanks to all the warmth and moisture surging northward, severe storms and flooding rain will be a concern with the next storm system. Behind it, colder air returns for Chirstmas.
It looks nice with a warmup for the next few days, but then Friday or Saturday it will turn stormy again followed by more cold for Christmas.
The next storm will go far enough south that some from Oklahoma to Delmarva will see snow or ice but most will see rain. More cold will arrive behind the storm, but the cold will ease briefly next week.
Here comes another snow-producing storm and it looks as though Virginia will be the big winner. Some very cold air will arrive this week, too. Another snow may hit some of the same areas this weekend, too.
Moisture surging north into the cold air in place will cause an icy setup with some snow for some. Once this moisture gets out of the way, the cold will edge farther south, eventually cooling Florida down.
