A new depression formed today but it looks as though it will remain too close to land to get very strong. There are a couple of other waves to track but I don't expect any other developments over the next several days.
An upper ridge will rebuild over the region this week, so the heat will be back on. However, eastern areas have an old front to cause a few cooling storms, and Tropical Depression Two will be going by to the south.
A fluctuating front will keep much of the Southeast unsettled over the next several days. After a stormy day tomorrow some nicer air will push into the Virginia and North Carolina.
We're tracking waves and other wimpy little critters, but we don't expect any storms to develop for a while, maybe not until July.
For most west of the Mississippi back to Texas, it's going to be either hot or stormy, though a few near the Mississippi will catch a break.
A lot of the Southeast is getting rough weather today but will be rewarded with a nice weekend. Nice weather won't last long, though, some more storms will affect the area next week.
